Dating has certainly changed over the past 20 years, nonetheless the past 70 years.
For example, I remember the very first time I asked a girl out. I had to go to the yellow pages, look up her number, dial it on a land line, speak to her father to get her on the phone, and then finally ask her out. This was back in 7th grade and I was terrified.
Now people text and tinder.
I always thought my childhood dating experience was an “ancient dating ritual” until my mother showed me a bunch of letters that my grandpa wrote to my grandma in 1942. Admittedly, I’m not the most “romantic” of all people, but these letters literally brought “fuzzy feeling” tears to my eyes.
After reading them I came to the conclusion that NO ONE in the 21st century could (or would) ever be as romantic as my Grandpa. Watch the video to learn some of the lessons I learned.
Do you think that romance is dead? How can we bring it back? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments section.
